I always feel bad leaving my dog home alone, and I am worried that she will make a mess. Hansen Goh and his team have the same feelings and created Pebby. This new pet toy is a smart ball with hours of fun for pets, and it does not require you to be home at all.
The smartphone-controlled ball keeps pets active and in good spirits. Pebby lets owners remotely draw their companions from one room to the next over WiFi for over 90 minutes of playtime and 15 hours of standby. Pebby’s design allows for two ways to play with pets, remote-controlled from your smartphone, and the automatic mode which interacts with a chip in the Pebby smart collar. Once the collar is attached, this interactive ball can be set up to automatically interact with pets for long-distance play. Owners can set up alerts to be notified whenever their pet is playing with their new toy. The collar also tracks fitness with results that owners can view from within the Pebby app. The battery inside the collar will last for 8-12 days.
Pet owners can use two-way audio and an integrated 720p wide-angle camera to build bonds with their pets from anywhere in the world. This small device has an on-board laser pointer that distracts and entertains cats and dogs all day. An integrated laser, LED lights and speaker throw more possibilities into the mix. The interchangeable shell makes it easy to customize the look of the ball.
When all is said and done, all you have to do is use the app to guide the ball back into its wireless charging holding cradle. This smart ball is sold for $124 for a few more days on Kickstarter before increasing in price to $248. This price may seem high to you, but for what it can do, it may be worth it. There are seven days left on their campaign, so if you would like to get a Pebby ball for your house, check them out on Kickstarter before the price is doubled.
